I love animals, and I couldn’t think of a better thing to do than paint them. There is a softness to watercolors that lends itself perfectly to painting animals. From the silkiness of the fur, to the depth of the color of the eyes, it is my joy to bring them to life on paper, and hopefully in the process put a smile on your face!

Pet Portraits make great gifts and keepsakes. I paint pet portraits from high definition digital photos, which can be as easy as taking a picture with you smartphone camera. The better the resolution of the photograph, the better the outcome of the portrait. The digital photos need to be close up and as sharp as possible. If the photo is out of focus and fuzzy, it will not produce an accurate painting. Details are the key to a good portrait.
